Visual Screener
See the entire perpetual futures market on one scatter plot — instantly spot where money is moving.
What is Visual Screener?
Visual Screener plots every perpetual futures contract on a single scatter chart, with price change on one axis and Open Interest change on the other. This creates four distinct quadrants that tell you exactly what type of positioning is happening across the entire market at a glance.
Instead of checking coins one by one, Visual Screener lets you scan hundreds of assets simultaneously. Each dot represents a trading pair, and its position on the chart reveals whether traders are opening or closing long and short positions. The result is a real-time map of market-wide money flow that would take hours to piece together manually.
This tool is particularly valuable for identifying outliers — coins that are seeing unusual activity compared to the rest of the market. When most dots cluster in one quadrant, it reveals the dominant market regime. When a single dot sits far from the pack, it signals something worth investigating.
Key Concepts
- Longs Entering (top-right): Price up + OI up — new long positions are being opened, bullish conviction
- Shorts Closing (top-left): Price up + OI down — short sellers are covering, driving price higher
- Shorts Entering (bottom-right): Price down + OI up — new short positions are being opened, bearish conviction
- Longs Closing (bottom-left): Price down + OI down — long holders are exiting, driving price lower
How to Use Visual Screener
- Open Visual Screener from the sidebar
- The scatter plot loads automatically with all perpetual futures contracts
- Identify key assets: BTC appears as an orange dot, ETH as a blue dot, and any custom-selected coins as yellow dots
- Check the quadrant statistics panel to see the overall market sentiment distribution — what percentage of coins fall in each quadrant
What to Look For
- Bullish signals: Majority of coins in the Longs Entering quadrant, especially with BTC and ETH leading. Outlier coins far to the upper-right show the strongest bullish momentum.
- Bearish signals: Heavy clustering in Shorts Entering or Longs Closing quadrants. If BTC sits in the bottom half while altcoins are mixed, expect continued weakness.
- Key patterns: Watch for quadrant shifts over time. A market transitioning from Shorts Closing to Longs Entering signals improving conviction. Coins that appear as extreme outliers often precede big moves.
- Combine with: Market Overview for deep-dive on individual outliers, Funding Heatmap for confirming sentiment extremes, Live Liquidations for understanding if moves are liquidation-driven

Tips
- Use the quadrant distribution percentages as a quick market health check — a balanced market has roughly even distribution, while a trending market skews heavily to one side
- Track BTC and ETH positions first since they set the tone for the broader market
- Visual Screener shows you where to look — once you spot an outlier, switch to dedicated tools like Market Overview or Flow Chart for deeper analysis
