HL Trending
NASDAQ-style trending for Hyperliquid — track volume spikes, price movers, and OI changes across 229 perpetual contracts and tokenized stocks.
What is HL Trending?
HL Trending gives you a real-time pulse on what is moving on Hyperliquid. Think of it as a NASDAQ market movers screen built specifically for the largest on-chain perpetuals exchange. It tracks volume surges, price momentum, and open interest shifts across every listed instrument — crypto perps, tokenized stocks (TSLA, NVDA, AAPL), commodities (GOLD, SILVER), and indices (SP500).
Hyperliquid lists 229+ perpetual contracts and hosts trading across 6 DEXes: Trade[XYZ], Felix, Ventuals, HyENA, Kinetiq, and dreamcash. HL Trending aggregates activity across all of them so you never miss a breakout forming on a low-profile token or a sudden rush into tokenized equities.
Most traders only watch their existing positions or a handful of favorites. HL Trending solves the discovery problem — it surfaces what deserves your attention right now based on actual on-chain activity, not social media hype.
Key Concepts
- Volume Spike: A sharp increase in trading volume relative to the recent average — often the first sign that something is happening
- Price Movers: Coins with the largest percentage price change over the selected time window
- OI Change: Instruments where open interest is rapidly increasing or decreasing — reveals where new money is entering or exiting
- Tokenized Assets: Hyperliquid lists traditional assets like TSLA, NVDA, GOLD, and SP500 as perpetual contracts that trade 24/7 with crypto-native leverage
How to Use HL Trending
- Open HL Trending from the sidebar under Community
- The dashboard loads with a ranked list of instruments sorted by the most significant activity
- Use the time window selector to switch between 1h, 4h, and 24h lookback periods
- Change the sort by option to rank by volume change, price change, or OI change depending on what you are hunting for
- Use the type filter to focus on Crypto, Stocks, or Commodities — or view all at once
What to Look For
- Bullish signals: A coin with rising volume, rising price, and rising OI simultaneously — this is the textbook “new money entering longs” pattern. Tokenized stocks trending during off-hours can front-run the next day’s equity session.
- Bearish signals: Rising volume and rising OI paired with a falling price — aggressive short positioning is building. When a previously quiet instrument suddenly appears near the top of the trending list with negative price action, shorts are piling in.
- Key patterns: Watch for instruments that appear on the trending list but have not yet made a large price move — volume and OI often lead price. Tokenized stocks and commodities trending can signal macro shifts relevant to the broader crypto market.
- Combine with: Liquidation Leaderboard to see if trending coins are also seeing heavy liquidations, OI Momentum for deeper position buildup analysis, and the chart for a detailed look at any instrument that catches your eye

Tips
- The 1h window is best for catching moves as they start — shorter timeframes surface activity before it shows up on longer lookbacks
- Pay attention to tokenized stocks trending outside of US market hours — this can signal overnight sentiment shifts that traditional markets have not priced in yet
- Volume spikes without corresponding price moves often precede breakouts — the market is absorbing orders before a directional move
- Use the type filter to isolate crypto-only or stocks-only trending when you want a focused view
